Wedding Bells

We attended a wedding on Monday. One of my cousins married his sweetheart of four years. It was at a cute little chapel in Layton. The ceremony was nice, and the reception good. We usually have a good time with my extended family. I used the occasion to get an informal four generation photo. One aspect of the reception I found fairly unique was that they had a photo booth. You got print outs just like a regular photo booth, and then all the pictures were burned to a disk for the wedding couple. All the kids thought it was great. Alyssa found a mirror in the loft area of the chapel and spent quite some time dancing in front of it. I think she may have been daydreaming about being the bride. She has been humming the wedding march all day today.

Christmas Fun

Christmas was a lot of fun. The kids were well spoiled with the help of many christmas elves. We enjoyed the company of lots of friends and family, and just enjoyed being together.

Awesome!

Rylan has been participating in a workshop with Ballet West, he was chosen as one of four kids from his school. Last week at their practice they gave all the kids two tickets to the Nutcracker. I was the lucky parent that got to go with him. I must say I agree with Rylan's one word review: "AWESOME!" It was an unforgettable experience. We ended up on the second row, so not only could we see every freckle on their faces, we could see into the orchestra pit, which facinated Rylan too. I hope they get tickets to the next show.

Glad to be inside!

I am not a huge fan of the snow, but it sure is pretty sometimes, especially when you know you don't have to go anywhere. We are slowly getting ready for Christmas and trying to deal with the cold, not much new to report. I guess no news is good news. (not our house by the way, I wasn't willing to venture out far enough to get a picture. Besides her house is decorated up all pretty.)
