Our little miracle is 7! Each Thanksgiving we celebrate his birthday and the miracle of his survival. Seven years ago today they were still telling us they were not sure if he would make it or not. Today he is in the first grade, in a regular classroom, with no residual effects of his premature birth. Miracles do exist, and one of them lives in our home.

Still kickin'
Sorry for my long silence. We have encountered a series of minor injuries and illnesses that, along with our regular activities have kept us pretty busy. We have had colds, minor stomach flu, migraines, eye lacerations, twisted ankles and a various assortment of bumps and bruises. Despite all that we are still here and doing well.
We were able to enjoy Halloween, one kid had stomach flu the day before, and one kid the day after.
We discovered a couple weeks ago that Colton needed glasses. He really likes them, but we have already had to use the insurance to replace a pair.
We also found time to enjoy the zoo. Grandma really wanted to see the baby elephant, so the kids were more than willing to go along. We had a great time. The weather was picture perfect and the animals were pretty active.
